Here is list of customer comments about our products:
I've been meaning to write you about how
pleased I am with my electric splitter that I bought from you in
August. It is wonderful! I have been splitting wood to heat our
house for 35 years, and enjoying the exercise and the skill of
the process, but recently I had to get a pacemaker and my doctor
said I couldn't do this anymore because I might fatigue the
wires...So, I got a cheap electric splitter from Northern Tool
which was inadequate and broke after a short time, and they
said, "no parts for repair". You may imaging how pleased I was
with that response! Now, I have your H16-4 model, and I have yet
to meet the log it won't split. And I have some very nasty wood
here, black gum in particular.... no problem! It's quiet (I
can't stand the noise of a gas model) and easy to use.
Again, thank you so much for providing this quality product!
It works great. I am working my way through a 30'x20'x5' pile of oak and hickory logs. Some of the oak logs are 2' in diameter by 16" high... no problem. The hickory logs are about 14" in diameter by 16" high again no problem. I'm glad I got the horizontal/vertical because I can roll the logs to the splitter. I found that the only 20 amp out let that would work was in my laundry room..the garage 20 amp outlet which had other things on it would pop the circuit breaker after a few seconds. I solved this problem by adding a 20 amp outlet to my pool circuit box. No competition during Fall and Winter. Also FYI, a 75' 10/3 extension cord works fine.
We purchased an electric 2 hp (H16 model) last year. Rigged it for 110 Volt and dragged it to the vicinity of our wood piles. We split 17 cords last summer/fall of local woods and never had a stoppage. Nice things about the electric are the quiet, the lack of maintenance, cost and inconvenience of getting gas, checking the oil, spark plugs, quality of the fuel, etc. We pull the unit out, we split the wood and we put the unit away until the next time. If we need to bring it to a job site in the forest, we simply bring along a small generator and away we go.
We used it all weekend. What a powerhouse for such a small package. And the electric motor, on and off at the touch of the switch, quiet enough you can hear the birds. One of the trees we had to split up was an oak with an 18” base. The ramsplitter didn’t even hesitate. It’s a great tool and I couldn’t be happier with it.
Thank you Doug. I appreciate all your help. Again I want to compliment you on the workmanship and quality of the work on the splitter you built for me. Thanks again
